Walking:

Walking in general can be a great way to elevate heart rate and is a fantastic way to connect with nature. Walking is also a good option for recovery days and off days where your body needs more rest.

T n Tundra Walking
Will you take a walk after your next meal?

The highlight of todays focus of walking is for after eating. Short walks

after a meal can have profound effects on your blood sugar and overall health. All it takes is 10-15 minutes after you eat to lower your glucose response.

The best thing about walking is that it’s easy, it’s accessible to almost everyone, and it doesn’t require any memberships or fancy equipment.

Podcasts:

Some of you may know I love podcasts! Some of my favorites are of course to listen to are the bio-hackers, comedians and functional health Doctors, and music podcasts. Podcasts are a great way to learn while commuting, taking a road trip, exercising or just chilling out.

This weeks pick is from Dr Chatterjee on “Why Intermittent Fasting Works” with Dr Jason Fung. Dr Chatterjee is a top Dr in the UK and one of the most influential GPs in the country. Star of BBC 1s Doctor In The House and author of 4 internationally best-selling books. Practicing functional medicine and changing the paradigm of the the allopathic approach to patient care, sickness, and disease.

I’m a big fan, along with Jason, of intermittent fasting for the right person. It can be wonders way to support rejuvenation of the gut microbiome, healthy cell turn over and has helped many of my clients drop some extra weight. In this podcast Jason explains easy ways to practice it, the common mistakes and misconceptions, and reveals why the ‘rules’ aren’t as strict as you think. Whether you're already a fan of intermittent fasting, you're in the dark, or you are someone who has yet to be convinced, I'd urge you to give this conversation a listen. Jason is a fantastic communicator who's helped countless people improve their health and well-being.
